Native plants take the lead and are accented by flowering perennials, a rain garden, and an edible plant buffer garden. The courtyard includes permeable pavers, an outdoor dining area, and a recycling center. Along the streetscape, traditional foundation plantings are replaced with low granite planter wells brimming with lush plantings that provide seasonal displays of color and texture.
